2. Cookies We Use

We use a minimal number of cookies, all of which are necessary for the Service to function properly or to process payments securely. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Essential Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

Payment Payment Processing Cookies

These cookies are set by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., when you interact with payment forms. They are necessary to process transactions securely and to prevent fraud.

Analytics Analytics Cookies

We do not currently use any analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or any other third-party analytics or tracking service.

If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, we will:

  • Update this Cookie Policy before deploying them
  • Implement a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies
  • Only activate analytics cookies after obtaining your affirmative consent (where required by law)
  • Use privacy-respecting analytics tools that do not share data with third-party advertisers

3. Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use the following technologies:

  • Local Storage: We may use browser local storage to persist user preferences (such as theme settings or dismissed notifications). Local storage data does not expire and is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly sent by application code.
  • Session Storage: We may use browser session storage for temporary state during your visit (such as form data in progress). Session storage is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. Because we only use essential and payment-processing cookies, disabling them may prevent the Service from functioning correctly. Here is how to manage cookies in common browsers:

You can also delete existing cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that if you delete or disable the Flask session cookie, you will be logged out and will need to sign in again.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, the Service behaves the same regardless of whether a DNT signal is received. We do not track users across third-party websites.

5. Legal Basis for Cookies (GDPR / ePrivacy)

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in EU Member States) and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR):

  • Essential cookies (Flask session) are placed under the "strictly necessary" exemption and do not require consent.
  • Stripe payment cookies are placed under the "strictly necessary" exemption because they are required to fulfill a service explicitly requested by you (payment processing).
  • If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will obtain your prior, informed, and freely given consent before placing them.

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via email or a notice within the Service.
